

So if someone can give me a bit of guidance that would be grand. I do, however, have all the software tools I need for this project. Regarding my skill base, noobs point and laugh when they pass me on the street. My Question – How can this be done? Do I copy and paste flies (*.vmt, *.vtf, *.vmf, *.mdl, *.vtx, *.phy, *.vvd) into Steam (and where do I paste them)? Or do I copy whole directories and where do I put them? In other words I want to be able to switch out the planes on one map for the planes on another map while changing the existing spawn points and then export them out of Hammer as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BSP file. I want to be able to pull these custom maps, textures and weapons into Hammer Editor and then exchange the existing weapons and move spawn points. When installed my game creates its own directories which are not associated with Steam directories. So far I managed to make models and to have them in there but I am struggling a lot to figure out on how to actually put on the texture. I'm desperatly trying to figure out on how to export a 3D Model with it's texture into the Hammer Map Editor (Source SDK) for Garry's Mod.
